Use of Seemage solutions at THALES ALENIA SPACE in the Cannes design offices and assembly plant

" I regularly use Seemage applications to create test configurations or integration configurations. It is very difficult to visualize a complete configuration on CATIA® and now Seemage enables us to do it. Example of configuration :6,155,429 Triangles, 2,630,454 Prisms, 11,720,906 Points, 75,262 Draws, 38,981 Actors (Parts).We may have to convert PRO/Engineer® models and to assemble them with STEP models, and CATIA® V4 & V5 models. I have created animations lasting 8 minutes, which, when converted in .avi format, can be viewed on any PC and allow the viewer to understand the assembly steps and the functions used. Moreover, in order to shorten the procurement delays, we send to our Tier 1 suppliers the Seemage 3D file and allow them to measure them. At the same time, we prepare the 2D drawings and take into account the comments made by the Tier 1 suppliers. This procedure decreases the manufacturing time and the costs of the parts. To conclude, we have worked with Seemage software for more than a year, and I have seen the work done on seemage technical innovations and the responsiveness of Seemage customer support.
